Wikipedia picture of the day on September 11, 2015: Elliðaey is one of the Westman Islands, and the third largest island in Iceland having an area of 0,45 km2. It is believed to have formed in an eruption about 5-6 thousand years ago. The small building visible in the image is a hunting lodge, built in 1953. The uninhabited island is privately owned and operated by the Elliðaey Hunting Association and is accessible via a rope on its lower east side and by a boat from the mainland. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Isla_Elli%C3%B0aey,_Islas_Vestman,_Su%C3%B0urland,_Islandia,_2014-08-17,_DD_106.JPG
